This campaign was produced by the Irish organization Marriage Equality to address the issue of marriage limitations in Ireland. The ad initiates with a man going door to door politely asking for “Sinead’s hand in marriage.” He then crosses paths with a woman who is walking her dog, he asks the same question, “Can I ask for Sinead’s hand in marriage, please?” to which the woman replies in a confused voice “yeah.” As the man is walking away the caption appears, “How would you feel if you had to ask 4 million people for permission to get married?”
